The first thing you notice about our Woodturning Handles are how good they feel in your hand. The comfortable rubber based grips provide great grip and comfort, and keeps the aluminum from feeling cold. They are milled from solid aircraft grade aluminum - their weight & balance giving the woodturner ultimate control. These handles absorb any chatter or vibration which otherwise would be transferred to your hand.
Tools are secured with two Stainless Steel set screws, 5/16" x 18 TPI. Our Quick Change Knobs are also a great choice - they allow you to position the tool to your desired length of reveal, and allow for quick removal for sharpening. Our 16" handle is drilled so you can add ballast.
Note: Our D-Way Handles are drilled over-size to accept other brands of tools, however our tools may not fit into your existing handles.
These bushings will allow you to install different size tools into our handles. You can have a handle with a 5/8" receiver, put a 5/8" to 1/2" bushing in the handle and be able to use both 5/8 and 1/2 inch tools in the same handle. The 1/2" to 3/8" bushing allows you to use 3/8 inch tools within our 1/2" receiver handles.
